Applications for the metal industry

Many metals are important materials and commodities, and our modern world would be inconceivable without metals. At the same time, metals are only rarely used in a pure form (e.g. for the manufacturing of electrical lines); it is above all alloys that are used in industrial application.

Within the whole metal industry, with its various tasks, it is especially the fields of powder metallurgy, foundry industry, and wire and/or tubes that are important fields of application for metal stearates and waxes. Due to their good sliding and lubricating effects, and the sometimes residue-free combustion they are often utilised as a sintering aid or draw aid, or as an anti-caking agent for foundry sands.
